FROM
VILARUTA It is part of the programming of CÁLIDA 922/928 and is celebrated during the closing day of the festival Vilaflor de Chasna. The activity proposes a guided tour of the town's historic center to discover some of its main heritage sites, its history, and the relationship it has traditionally maintained with the landscape and rural life.
Accompanied by Isabel Barrera of ESMIRAS Global Events, the tour starts from San Pedro Square and passes through various points of the historic center, including the Church of San Pedro Apóstol, the Shrine of Saint Brother Pedro, the Casa de los Soler, the old watermills and the washhouses. These places are part of the historical heritage of Vilaflor and allow us to understand the evolution of the municipality and the importance that water, agriculture and traditional architecture played in its development.
The route continues to the Pino Gordo, This is one of the most representative monumental trees in Vilaflor de Chasna. The municipality stands out precisely for the presence of large specimens of Canary pine and for its location in an area of high mountains, at about 1,400 meters above sea level.
With an approximate duration of two and a half hours and a route of about 3 km, VILARUTA closes the programming of the CÁLIDA 922/928 With a proposal focused on the heritage, local history and the landscape of Vilaflor. The current flyer itself places the activity on July 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with departure from San Pedro Square.
