This tour is a cultural trip through the wine production in La Geria, a unique inherited science, which will teach us the particularity of these vineyards.
You will taste a selection of wines from three of Lanzarote's best historic wineries (Bodegas Rubicón, El Grifo and Los Bermejos) within the La Geria wine region, a protected landscape unlike any other in the world.
This excursion is educational with a deep focus between geology and culturelinked to the production of wine in Lanzarote. You will also learn about the generations of people who have worked for centuries to develop Lanzarote's vineyards.
To learn about the history of Bodegas Rubicón we must go back to 1570. At Bodegas Rubicón, the wines will be Dry Rubicon, semi-dry Rubicon and sweet Rubicon.
You will accompany them with another of the gastronomic jewels of the Canary Islands: goat cheese from Lanzarote.
El Faro semi-cured, cured or soft cheese is offered for tasting, with distinctions in competitions such as the last World Cheese Award.
The winery oldest in the Canary Islands and among the ten oldest in Spain. It has been making wines uninterruptedly since 1775 in the same winery as El Grifo. At El Grifo, a free visit to its museum and we will taste 3 wines, accompanied by cheese.
For several centuries it belonged to one of the most important families of Lanzarote. With the turn of the century, it was given a new impulse and within a few years it became the leading winery on the island.
This visit consists of a half-hour explanation The tour starts in the vineyards and tells the context in which the island's wines are born, moving on to the inside of the winery with a brief explanation of the winemaking process and ending in the shop with a presentation of the variety of wines.
At the end of the visit, each person has a tasting of two wines to choose from with a cheese and sponge cake tapa.

In this lunar landscape, where the Timanfaya volcano The grapes are cultivated in a way that is unique in the world: to protect the fruit from the wind and sun, the vines are planted in "picón" pits surrounded by walls of volcanic rocks, called sanded.
The grapes are harvested in July and August to make wine, mainly white, with golden reflections and floral scents known as Malvasia.
