This senda de autor has been created with care by experts in native marine fauna with the purpose of offering for almost three hours an out of the ordinary experience: designed to the smallest detail for those sea lovers who will appreciate the natural landscapes of Arona in Tenerife as well as its marine inhabitants by doing a route of Snorkel con Tortugas y Mantarrayas en Tenerife.

Designed for small groups, flora and fauna loversin particular the sea turtles, y sobre todo respetuosos con el medio ambiente. Se desarrolla en las aguas de Tenerife Sur, en el municipio de Arona, isla de Tenerife (Canarias).

Departure at the Port of Las Galletas

La experiencia de Snorkel con Tortugas y Mantarrayas en Tenerife comienza en el Puerto de las Galletas. Desde allí, una embarcación pequeña de 11 plazas recorrerá, durante aproximadamente 30 minutos, la zona del Malpaís de la Rasca. Además, esta travesía te permitirá disfrutar del paisaje mientras te preparas para una aventura inolvidable bajo el agua.

It is a Protected Special Nature Reserve, donde además encontrarás hermosos paisajes volcánicos y calas naturales. El guía de la Senda, gran conocedor del entorno, les ofrecerá explicaciones interesantes durante todo el recorrido, haciendo la experiencia aún más enriquecedora.

Large vessels are not allowed access to this protected area.

‍Anchoring in the cliffs of El Palmar

The vessel stops at a special area where it large numbers of native birds nest there. This place is a place privileged for bird watching. Although it is not part of the turtle snorkelling activity, if you are a turtle lover, take the opportunity to bring a pair of binoculars.

‍All the equipment for snorkelling. At this point the guide will hand out equipment to the participants to swim with turtles: Diving goggles, snorkel, fins and neoprene wetsuit which offers greater buoyancy, safety and comfort than a lifejacket. This suit also retains body heat better during the hour of submersion.

Para aquellos participantes que nunca hayan practicado snorkel, el guía, antes de comenzar la actividad, les ofrecerá una free training para el manejo del equipamiento. De esta manera, todos podrán sentirse seguros y disfrutar al máximo de la experiencia.

Our expert guide will invite you to dive into the sea at the perfect moment to observe turtles, manta rays and other marine wonders. Their in-depth knowledge of the marine ecosystem will accompany you throughout the tour, sharing their passion for the sea and guaranteeing a personalised experience.

Enjoy an hour exploring the rich marine biodiversity. Swim alongside the majestic loggerhead turtles and the elegant bishop rays, emblematic species of the Canary Islands. You will also discover shoals of fish such as bogas, fulas, viejas and sargos, protagonists of the vibrant marine ecosystem of the Canary Islands.

Capture unforgettable memories! This activity offers a photographic report to the participants for an optional fee of 20€, or if you prefer video for 65€, so that you will always remember your best moment at the snorkelling with turtles.

This experience is carried out in small groups to ensure personalised attention and minimise the impact on the environment. Our team, committed to the Senda Ecoway Charter of Commitment, snorkels responsibly, respecting the animals and keeping the necessary distance. In addition, we collect marine litter during the routes and apply a policy of plastic reduction and waste separation.
