Due to the scarcity of permits, it is advisable to book in advance as soon as you are clear about the dates of your visit. Unfortunately, many travellers fail to climb Pico del Teide due to inadequate planning.

How to climb Pico del Teide?

In our activity, you will have the opportunity to explore this majestic volcano and reach its peak in two ways:

Climbing Pico del Teide by Cable Car (Tickets not included in the price)

Recommended option. Climb effortlessly and comfortably to the highest point in Spain. You'll ascend by cable car (tickets are not included in the price and must be purchased before the activity) to an altitude of 3,500 metres, where you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from several viewpoints. Then, we will walk the last stretch to the summit of Pico del Teide to enjoy unparalleled views. At the end, we will descend again by cable car, completing a unique and unforgettable experience.

Climbing the impressive Pico del Teide on one of the park's most emblematic trails is, without a doubt, an unforgettable experience. However, this activity is not suitable for everyone, as it requires good physical condition.

We will start our adventure on trail number 7, which starts from Montaña Blanca, and ascend to the summit. Along the way, you will learn about the fascinating history of Teide and discover its unique geological formations. To end this experience, we will descend by cable car (descent ticket included in the price), which will allow you to enjoy a different and comfortable perspective of the majestic volcano of Tenerife.

What should I know before climbing Pico del Teide?

Can I climb Pico del Teide on my own?

No. It is always You need to buy a permit to climb Pico del Teide. Without the permit we will not be able to access the summit. Permits are scarce and difficult to obtain, but we manage them officially and quickly so that you don't run out of yours. However, they sell out very quickly and it is necessary to book in advance (almost 15-20 days) in order to be sure to be able to climb Pico del Teide.

Are refunds given for adverse weather conditions occurring on the day of the activity?

In the event that, due to circumstances beyond our control (such as adverse weather conditions or breakdowns in the cable car facilities), it is not possible to make the ascent to the peak of Teide, our guide will offer an alternative within the Teide National Park.

For example, it will be possible to follow the trail of Los Roques de García or another complementary activity on the same date and time, always within the park and with the same official guide.

No reimbursement will be made for the activity itself, as an equivalent alternative will be offered.

When can I cancel the activity free of charge?

✔️ The client will be able to cancel his activity of ascent to the Teide peak. free of charge as long as it does so with more than 72 hours in advance.

✔️ In this case, a 100% refund of the amount of the activity, not including cable car tickets in the reimbursement if the cancellation is at the client's expense.

What happens if I have not bought the cable car tickets and I have contracted the option to go up to the peak of Teide by cable car?

The client you can buy tickets before the start of the activity on the day at the point of sale.. However, this option is not recommended, as tickets may be sold out.

If the tickets are sold out, and the customer has not previously purchased them, the customer will not be able to do the activity and will not receive any refund or compensation for the activity.. It is the customer's 100% responsibility.

If the ascent is on foot, the cable car ticket for the descent is already included in the price.

If I book, do I already have my permit confirmed?

Due to the changing weather conditions in the high mountains and the low availability of permits to climb the peak of Teide, it is dates must be confirmed in advance with Ecoway Path.

We also inform you that the activity requires a minimum number of participants to take place; if this minimum number is not reached and it is not possible to relocate the participants to another date, the activity will be cancelled and the corresponding notification will be made.
