FROM
This path is one of the most popular excursions on the island of La Palma.
Located in the north of the island, the Marcos y Cordero trail, in the Bosque de Los Tilos, runs parallel to the canal that runs along the Caldera and collects water from the springs.
We start our journey at the Marcos y Cordero Visitor Centre, in the Los Tilos forest. There we will receive explanations of both springs.
On the trail we will be able to pass through several ravines dotted with laurel forests to finish in the Barranco del Agua ravine. In addition, in other parts of the route, we will enjoy Canary Island pines and autochthonous vegetation interspersed in vertical walls, that precede the Caldera de Taburiente National Park.
During the course, we will learn about the the story of Marcos and Cordero and understand the place through its vegetation and infrastructure.
If you are wondering about the difficulty of this trail, let me tell you: this itinerary covers 10km and is of a circular with low gradientand therefore It is not very difficult but it is a long trail.
During the trail, you will be able to enjoy a Km0 picnic made with local produce: Palmero cheese sandwich, island sweets, piece of fruit and water.
