The enchanted path
For this trail we have chosen to divide the route into two parts:
First part: Parking lot-The Yew Tree Viewpoint
When you park in the respective area, you will see an information sign. The 7-kilometre circular path starts right at this sign.
The path is not signposted. Follow the path at all times. Caution should be exercised as there is a lot of mud in some sections. The path is spectacular and you will be able to enjoy beautiful natural landscapes.
After the first hour's walk you will arrive at the Roque Anambro. From there you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the coast. It is an ideal place for a short break.
However, if you prefer, you can walk an extra 30 minutes to get to the Mirador de Tejo. From there you can see Roque de las Bodegas, Benijo and even one of the rocks of Anaga.
Second part: Mirador de Tejo-Parking
This section is less impressive than the previous one but it also hides some secrets. Along the stretch we can find caves carved in stone, which were used by shepherds for shelter.
After about 45 minutes we will return to the main path and reach the starting point.
Recommendations for walking the trail
- Wear comfortable shoes: There are sections that may be muddy, so wearing appropriate footwear for the occasion will enhance our experience.
- Warm clothing: It is a very draughty area, so it is a good idea to take some clothing to protect you from the cold.
- Food and drink: is an easy trail but lasts 3 hours, so it is essential to stay hydrated.
