If you want to connect with the emotions surrounding the trails, put all your senses on alert and don't miss out on everything this natural space has to offer.
In this post we introduce you to one of the most popular trails on the island of Tenerife the Path of the Senses.
It consists of a very special experience in which you will have to put your senses to appreciate the nature that surrounds the Anaga Rural Park, one of Tenerife's treasures.
The Anaga massif is one of the oldest areas of the island and an ecosystem of endemic species such as the laurel forest: a living fossil that has survived in the Canary Islands, Madeira and the Azores.
Where the roads meet
The Path of the Senses goes deep into the laurel forestalso known as the monteverdewhich is located in the Anaga Rural Park.
This trail is part of a network of trails that start at Cruz del Carmenwhich in the past was a Camino Real which connected the villages of Anaga with the city of La Laguna.
It was therefore the way to make the exchange of goods and agricultural products possible.
Cruz del Carmen offers a wide range of free parking and a information office of all the trails available in Anaga.
Right in front of the office, this spectacular trail begins.
Also, before walking the trail, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the city of La Laguna from the viewpoint at Cruz del Carmen.

Important note: you should know that at the information office you can find at your fingertips audio guides for the realisation of this trail.
However, you can do it on your own if you prefer.
