Sailing trip along the south coast of Gran Canaria

Sailing along the coasts of Gran Canaria and discovering hidden beaches and cliffs is the objective of this author's path. This sailing trip in Gran Canaria will not leave you indifferent: You can snorkel in unspoilt coves, enjoy a special menu on board and you might even see dolphins in their natural environment!

The path step by step

1. Exit from the Puerto de Mogán. We will meet in the Port of Mogán from where we will get ready to board the sailing boat Antaviana, a beautiful boat of 17 metres in length, fully equipped with all the comforts to live a unique experience..

2. Skipper and deckhand on board. At all times we will have the experience and instruction of a specialised skipper and sailor to ensure the utmost safety during our sailing trip.

3. Six-hour crossing. Once we are on board our adventure begins. Six hours of sailing ahead of us from morning to afternoon. The route normally goes in the direction of the southwest part of the island as it is the most unspoilt and best preserved area without buildings. The most beautiful as it is unspoilt and without buildings, only small beaches and very spectacular cliffs. Occasionally, weather permitting, you can reach the famous Guí-Gui beach. The crossing on board the sailing boat lasts 6 hours, from morning to afternoon. During this time, we will skirt magnificent cliffs, chat with the skipper and the sailor about the marine life.

4. Walk through natural landscapes. During the crossing, on this sailing trip in Gran Canaria we will be able to enjoy the wonderful views of the natural cliffs of the south of the island of Gran Canaria. We will also be able to visit the beautiful unspoilt beaches along the coast such as Veneguera beach, Los Secos beach and the famous GüiGüi beach and take a dip in its waters.

5. Snorkelling in coves. As well as visiting the coastal nature of the island, we can snorkel in its beautiful coves, weather permitting.

6. Possible sightings of dolphins and turtles. The natural areas through which we will pass are the migratory habitat of marine animals such as dolphins and turtles. For this reason, it is quite possible to spot these marine animals in their natural environment, although we will have to be especially attentive to see them.

7. Food and drink included on board. Our sailing trip around Gran Canaria includes food and drinks on board so that we lack nothing. You will have the possibility to choose the dishes you prefer on request, for example paella. Normally our menu consists of typical Canarian tapas with cheese and sausages, as well as Spanish omelette accompanied by a cold beer or a glass of Canarian wine. Finally, we will have fruit or ice cream for dessert.
