Hiking in El Teide

The star hiking spot in Tenerife! Mount Teide is the highest mountain in Spain, rising 3,718 metres above sea level and is world famous for its hiking route.
Typically, hikers climb it during the afternoon, then spend the night in a hut near the top, and then arrive at the summit the next morning to enjoy a breathtaking sunrise.
If you are lucky and there are no clouds, You will be able to see all the Canary Islands from the viewpoint! Please note that the trail is regulated by the Tenerife Town Hall and you will need a permit to access the summit.

Hiking in Masca

It couldn't be an article about hiking in Tenerife without mentioning the great hiking route of Masca! An incredible canyoning trip starting in the village of Masca and ending on the beach near the cliffs of Los Gigantes.
Many hikers choose to go by taxi-boat to Los Gigantes and are surprised by the height of the cliffs (acantilados) as the boat approaches the shore. Other hikers decide to climb back up to Masca, it is a bit difficult but definitely worth it as you can enjoy the canyon from another perspective.
