{"id":2309,"date":"2024-10-01T13:01:57","date_gmt":"2024-10-01T13:01:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sendaecoway.com\/pueblos-blancos-malaga"},"modified":"2024-10-14T07:39:25","modified_gmt":"2024-10-14T07:39:25","slug":"white-villages-malaga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sendaecoway.com\/en\/blog\/pueblos-blancos-malaga\/","title":{"rendered":"The white villages of Malaga"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"\">The Route of the White Villages is located in Andalusia, between the provinces of <strong id=\"\">Cadiz <\/strong>y <strong id=\"\">Malaga<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">The Route of the White Villages is divided into two routes: the <strong id=\"\">route of the White Villages of C\u00e1diz<\/strong> and the <strong id=\"\">route of the White Villages of Malaga<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p id=\"\">This time we will focus on the route of the White Villages of Malaga.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">The Pueblos Blancos of Malaga have the peculiarity that all the facades of the houses are painted in the following colours <strong id=\"\">white colour<\/strong>This creates a beautiful contrast, hence the name \"Pueblos Blancos de M\u00e1laga\" (White Villages of Malaga).<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">The villages included in this territory are: Atajate, Algatoc\u00edn, Benadalid, Benaoj\u00e1n, Pueblo Colgante, Jimera de Libar and Montejaque.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"\">Visit<\/h2>\n<p id=\"\">It is one of the towns with <strong id=\"\">smaller population<\/strong> of the province of Malaga, you can enjoy the tranquillity and peace of its streets.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">Atajate is famous for its <strong id=\"\">wine<\/strong>its production of <strong id=\"\">must <\/strong>and wine industry.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">\u200d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"\" class=\"w-richtext-figure-type-image w-richtext-align-center\" data-rt-type=\"image\" data-rt-align=\"center\">\n<div id=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sendaecoway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/636aaf348c66701356017dde_Atajate.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"auto\" height=\"auto\" alt=\"\" id=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"\">Algatoc\u00edn<\/h2>\n<p id=\"\">Algatoc\u00edn is a place of outstanding beauty, offering excellent views of landscapes of lush vegetation with an abundance of cork oaks, chestnut trees and other native species.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">Its points of interest include the church of Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Rosario and the Genil viewpoint.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">\u200d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"\" class=\"w-richtext-figure-type-image w-richtext-align-center\" data-rt-type=\"image\" data-rt-align=\"center\">\n<div id=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sendaecoway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/636ab099e8103d821efc59b8_Algatocin.png\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"auto\" height=\"auto\" alt=\"\" id=\"\"><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"\">Benadalid<\/h2>\n<p id=\"\">Benadalid has attractive heritage sites such as the Church of San Isidro, La Cruz del Humilladero and the Moorish castle.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"\">Benaoj\u00e1n<\/h2>\n<p id=\"\">Located in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, it is an ideal village for adventure sports, hiking and rural tourism.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">In the surrounding area we find interesting places such as Las Cuevas del Gato and La Pileta.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">In La Pileta we can observe different cave paintings that will take us back to our prehistoric ancestors.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"\">Hanging Village<\/h2>\n<p id=\"\">Pueblo Colgante, also known as C\u00e1ceres, is a place declared a Historic-Artistic Monument. Pueblo Colgante, also known as C\u00e1ceres, has important heritage sites such as La Iglesia de la Encarnaci\u00f3n, El Castillo \u00c1rabe and the hermitage of San Sebasti\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"\">Jimera de L\u00edbar<\/h2>\n<p id=\"\">It is a village of Muslim origin, of which no trace remains to this day.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">Its Arabic name was Inz Almaraz which means: \"Castle of the Woman\".<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">The surrounding area is home to the Pico Mart\u00edn Gil peak, ideal for all kinds of nature sports.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"\">Montejaque<\/h2>\n<p id=\"\">Its name is of Muslim origin and means \"Lost Mountain\".
