Learn to prepare some of the classics of Spanish gastronomy in this 4-hours hands-on cookery course.
You’ll have your cooking station, and the ingredients will be ready to be cooked. That way, you’ll only enjoy the fun side of cooking. No peeling or cutting unless there is a culinary technique to learn from it.
Menus are seasonal and include cocktail preparation (with or without alcohol), Iberian ham cutting, starter, paella rice and dessert. Most ingredients are organic and locally grown. Menus may differ for special diets upon request.
After the course, you’ll keep your apron as a souvenir. You’ll also receive an ebook with the recipes learned.
Detailled description of the activity:
Meet us at 10 am at our premises in Uga. You’ll enjoy a welcome tea while our Chef explains the menu you’ll be preparing. Then, you’ll be handed your apron and will head out to the kitchens to start cooking.
First, you’ll cook the dessert and the cocktail. Then, you’ll learn how to cut Iberian ham like a professional and make some tomato bread to go with it. Once all of these are ready, you’ll have a little break to enjoy the degustation of your cocktail, the Iberian ham you cut and the tomato bread you prepared. If you wish, you’ll also be able to have a walk around our kitchen garden and learn about the local techniques used to grow food in a desertic land. After the break, you’ll cook the starter and the paella rice.
Once all your dishes are ready, you’ll sit and enjoy your meal with the other cooks. The takeaway is available for your leftovers (if any). Maximum group size is 12 people.
Alcohol option includes an alcoholic cocktail and local wine while cooking and eating. The course with no alcohol entitles to an organic fruit cocktail, tea and mineral water.
